National monument from energy label G to label A
30 January 2018
The national monument ‘Het Elevatorhuis’ in Rotterdam is being transformed to a energy efficient office complex. The building is originally designed by Michiel Brinkman and build between 1914-1915. Until recently, it was used by a bank together with the adjacent buildings. Due to this renovation, the national monument will go from energy label G to A. This achievement is mostly reached due to architectural interventions, like the enhancement of the thermal values of the roof and façade. The renovation will commence in the beginning of 2018.
