Construction of Océ Headquarters Started

The construction of the new headquarters of Océ Technologies BV has started festively by hitting the first pole last week. The new headquarters is expected to finish by March 2020 under the leadership of general contractor BAM.
The new ‘Green Landmark’ offers space for 550 employees and has an area of 15.500m2. The design is based on the Kyosei philosophy of parent company Canon: living and working together for the common good. The ‘Green Plaza’s’ represent this philosophy and form the most distinctive element of the design. These double-high spaces connect all offices as a green, open space to bring together employees and visitors. Each Green Plaza has a different orientation, but always forms the link between the central atrium and the green environment outside and can be used to meet, rest or work.
Earlier on the new headquarters received its design certificate with BREEAM ‘Excellent’ score of 70.48%. This way Broekbakema continues to work on a sustainable future under the motto “Architecture, powered by nature, to empower people”.
