First pole Ashram College into the ground!

The first pole of the Ashram College in Nieuwkoop was hit into the ground last week. Two of the youngest pupils of the school hit the pole into the ground with 98-year old ex-janitor mr. van Vliet. Broekbakema has worked on the design of this new multifunctional school for secondary education since 2016, in which the students themselves can choose and color their own path. The three wings of the design make it possible for each department to expose maximally to its surroundings, while the central hart is the place where everyone can come together. Last month the first pole for the new Oce Headquarters was also hit into the ground, a testimony to the fact that Broekbakema is working hard for a sustainable and better future.
