Residential Farm ‘Nooitgedacht’

At the edge of Vlaardingen, in the natural area of Midden-Delfland you can find the historic residential farm ‘Nooitgedacht’ where people with mental disabilities work and live. The historic farm is a central point between several annexes where clients have their rooms. Because the buildings were outdated, the living areas are expanded and adapted to the current time. We tried to connect the building to its rural surroundings by designing a dark wooden façade that is reminiscent of a wooden black tarred barn.
